I wanted to take a moment to review Vitamin A. In preparing this, I did a thorough review of the established literature and all the things I’m going to discuss are based on evidence and research.
1. Vitamin A is a fat soluble class of vitamins that includes retinol, retinal, and retinoic acid
2. It is an essential component of many aspects of vision.
3. Deficiency is rare in the industrialized world but more common in developing nations.
4. Toxicity is possible, especially from consuming too much supplemental vitamin A
5. It does have therapeutic uses for cancer, measles, and some skin diseases
6. In developed nations with no other risk factors, supplementation is not generally recommended.
Vitamin A, also known as Retinol, retinal, retinoid, retinoic acid, isotretinoin, Accutane, carotenoids, beta carotene, beta-carotene , retinyl palmitate, carotene, alpha carotene, gamma carotene Is an essential nutrient. It can be helpful for many skin disease including healthy skin, sunspots, scars, aging, wrinkles, crows feet, acne, skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, as well as vision. Deficiency can cause night blindness. It may help with cardiovascular disease. You should understand how itβs produced, synthesized, metabolized. It comes in many forms including dietary, supplement and topical creams and treatments.

How do you treat vitamin A toxicity or retinol toxicity in food intake?
November 13th, 2018 at 2:12 pm
I put retinol on my scrotum and my voice dropped an octave. Maybe the mention of its effects on testosterone would be in your review somewhere, doc.

how much beta carotene will give me the daily recommendation of retinol?
November 13th, 2018 at 7:00 pm
A diet of liver, kidney, eggs and butter. Presumably grass fed, free range and organic. Retinoids are efficient in absorption, so be cautious to prevent overdosing. Green vegetables, carrots and orange fruits for carotenoids these variants are fat soluble, meaning you will require to complement the meal with a type of fat or oil when eating these carotenoid containing foods to absorb the vitamin. It's what the doctor ordered.

I just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant and have been using a Retin A cream .025 for about a year 1-2 times a week and an over the counter Retinol about 4 times a week. There is no informative data out there about the cream??? I only find information on pregnancy concerning Accutane which is like comparing alcohol in cough syrup to drinking a bottle of jack Daniels a day!! Pharmacist said there was no more vitamin a in my daily vitamin then I would be getting in that low dose cream! So it's very confusing?? Is it dangerous or not for a fetus?? It's like the Drs don't have the correct information and no one wants to say for fear you would bath in it I guess!! If you have any valuable input it would be appreciated! Ty

Very helpful BUT u missed one major effect. it works faster than Alladin's magic lamp in winter coughs and colds. learn to use 50,000 IU tablets every few hours in case of cough and winter colds. instant cure in most cases
