Vitamin A never ever helped my hyperkeratosis, only Vit D especially sunshine helps…weird. And what makes it 10x worse is fish oil

I have the symptoms of Vitamin A Deficiency but took Accutane 13 years ago and have felt toxic since. I have very dry eyes, and a dry mouth, as well as brain fog, digestive issues and very low sex drive. What are your thoughts?

Chris, do you have some links to some studies on the connection between zinc and reduced beta carotene to retinol conversion? Couldn't find any myself. Thanks.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:40 pm
you've talked about beta carotene and retinol. I drink milk that appears to have vitamin A palmitate. how does palmitate differ from the two you touched on

How much vitamin D does one need to balance 25,000 IU of retinol? Is there a correct ratio?
November 18th, 2018 at 2:14 pm
I'm curious what your thoughts are on the new controversy that Vitamin A is actually a toxin.
November 18th, 2018 at 3:13 pm
I took 10,000 IU of vitamin D for almost two years based on doctor's advice. It had been low at 18. Soon my D was always "ideal"–in the 70s usually. But I began to have bad keratosis pilaris, then constantly dried lips, and all winter I had colds. I stopped taking the D finally and began supplementing true A. All the symptoms immediately ceased. Doctors are so ignorant! And so many people are taking D like that!

does vitamin k interact with vitamin a and protect u from toxicity like it does from vitamin d toxicity?

For someone looking to derive their needs for retinol from a 20mg beta-carotene supplement, what are the obstacles they could encounter meeting their need for retinol? Since BCO1 is a rate-limiting enzyme, can the enzyme actually handle the entire beta-carotene load if you're a poor converter? Is it possible to "run out", so to speak? Thank you.

Its important to balancing it with vitamin d, in a study without vitamin d supplementation even 5000 iu vitamin A caused bone loss!you either need lots of sun light or vit d supplement.

50,000 units per day! Thats 5 times the upper tolerable limit. I don't trust the FDA so maybe you are correct but where does this come from?
